Where do I even start?
If you’re on tech Twitter or follow techies on social media, you’ve probably heard it all before.
“AI is unethical! It steals artists’ work.”
“People will use AI to do bad things, like cheat or plagiarize.”
“AI will put so many people out of jobs.”
There are so many hot takes 🔥 on AI that I can’t cover them all here.
But what does it all mean for you?
Others argue AI has more benefits than problems.
For example, if you want to be a startup founder, it’s much easier - and cheaper - to build your product with AI tools.
If you want to create cool art, you no longer need years of practice. A quick prompt and great imagination will get you very far with AI tools.
And those manual tasks you hate doing? Automate them all with AI, so you can focus on the creative work you love.
Not sure which tech career to pursue?
I get it. You’re passionate and ambitious - so there are so many options you could pursue.
But it can get overwhelming.
Use AI to advise you.
Ask ChatGPT to make you a week-by-week lesson plan.
Here’s an example prompt:
“All these applications look the same.”
This is something I hear from hiring managers a lot.
And no, I’m not going to give you a prompt to ask ChatGPT for advice.
If everyone did that, no one would stand out.
So here’s what to do instead. It’s my exclusive advice only for you - a loyal member of EntryLevel’s community. I don’t share this anywhere else.
It’s that simple.
Here’s an example.
Create an AI online study room platform with flashcards, timers, AI chatbot tutors to answer questions, and auto-prioritizing task lists (AI helps you reschedule tasks).
Find other people to build this with.
Now you have a unique portfolio project that’ll immediately stand out.
After all, it’s the projects that get people excited. It shows off your experience. You can talk about it during interviews too.
Ever searched up salaries of different careers?
